What Is Edge Lens?
An indicator that only speaks up when a setup actually qualifies.

Edge Lens runs on your own TradingView chart and watches four things every 1-minute bar: whole-dollar levels, RSI extremes, the options market's live expected move, and a weighted scoring model built from all of it. When — and only when — a setup clears every filter, it fires a label on your chart and an alert on your phone.

Why I built it: I was manually tracking RSI and levels every single morning, and the lag between "everything actually lines up" and "I noticed and acted on it" was costing real money. Edge Lens exists to close that gap — and to hold the process to the same rules every session, not whatever my gut says that day.

Filters, Reliability Fixes, and a Full Visual Rebuild
New Fixed Improved
New Tools & Filters
  • NYSE TICK breadth — live market-breadth reading, opt-in as a signal filter. When enabled, calls require positive TICK and puts require negative — stops you fighting the broad tape.
  • Hard late-day kill switch — no new entries at all (default 3:20–4:00pm ET, adjustable) once the window hits, regardless of tier or score. A real stop, not a scoring penalty.
  • Manual news blackout window — off by default, same mechanism as the kill switch, for you to flip on ahead of FOMC/CPI mornings.
  • Manual gamma/max-pain reference — optional, you type in a level from an outside source each morning. This is a heuristic pin-alignment check, not real dealer gamma exposure — Pine Script has no options-chain data access.
  • EM Used % — new dashboard row showing how much of today's expected move has already played out.
  • IV crush/expansion tracking — flags when IV has moved meaningfully off its session-open reading.
  • Session HOD/LOD lines added to the chart, with live price in the label.
  • New dashboard fields: Day Change % and Relative Volume.
Real Fixes
  • EM High/Low now checks the wick, not the close. A sharp rejection candle can pierce a level and still close well off it — the old close-only check could miss the exact setups it existed to catch.
  • Fixed a day-boundary reset bug in 7 places across the script (VWAP, gap detection, prior-day tracking, tap counts, and the new EM-used tracker). All of them checked calendar day-of-month, which repeats every ~28–31 days — on a longer-loaded chart this could silently fail to reset and let stale state bleed into a new session.
  • Bar confirmation gate — every signal tier now only fires on a fully closed bar, never mid-formation.
Cosmetic Overhaul
  • Status table trimmed down to rows that reflect live market state or directly inform the call/put decision — cut a couple of rows that were either internal shorthand or a static config echo.
  • Every level line (PDH/PDL, ORB15, HOD/LOD, EM) now shows its actual live price in the label.
  • Fixed the EM zone visually bleeding across the entire chart instead of staying inside the current session.
  • Rebuilt line weight and label sizing into an actual 3-tier hierarchy — bolder now consistently means more important, instead of being accidental based on which feature was added when.
  • God Signal label simplified to plain text for reliable rendering across every device.
Why the reliability fixes matter most here: neither of the two bugs above was cosmetic — both could silently produce wrong numbers on the dashboard (a bad "EM used" read, a miscounted VWAP session) without ever throwing an error. Worth re-adding the indicator fresh rather than editing in place, same as past major versions.

God Signal
New Tier
What prompted this: SPY opened one morning at RSI 84, sitting right at $775 resistance — about as overextended as it gets. Edge Lens stayed silent, because no level was touching in a way that satisfied A+'s normal rules. A genuinely extreme setup got missed entirely. This update closes that gap.
  • God Signal — a new, separate tier for genuine overextension. Fires when RSI hits ≥83 (PUT) or ≤15 (CALL), no level touch required. Backtested across many weeks — this fires rarely, "once in a blue moon" by design.
  • Clean chart label — just CALL / PUT, in distinct colors so it's never confused with a normal A+ at a glance.
  • A+ cooldown lowered to 10 bars.
  • Everything else — the full scoring engine, PDH/PDL/ORB15/EM/VWAP confluence, MTF confluence, session filters — is unchanged. God Signal sits alongside all of that; it doesn't replace it.
Important: God Signal is intentionally aggressive — it fires on RSI alone, without the level or confirmation checks every other tier requires. Treat it as a distinct, higher-risk category, not a bigger version of A+. Automatic position sizing for God Signals specifically is still being reviewed — size these manually for now rather than trusting the auto-suggestion.

What's new
  • Edge Lens now tracks the IV-implied 1-day range (VIX1D) as a live level, scored the same as PDH/PDL. Touching the EM high or low can push a setup into A-tier or A+ on its own — fired signals get tagged EM EDGE.
  • New EM Zone and IV rows added to the status table.
  • Two modes: Locked (one stable line for the session) or Live (moves if IV reprices intraday).
How to use it: every other level Edge Lens tracks is historical price. EM is what the options market expects right now. Price trading outside the band mid-session signals a real trend day, not chop — but EM is never traded alone, RSI confirmation still triggers it like every other level.
Caveat: EM is a 1 standard-deviation estimate, not a wall — roughly 3 days out of 10 close outside it. A touch means the odds lean toward reversion, not that price can't go further.
Fixes
  • Session windows (ORB15, etc.) now pinned to exchange time — no more firing at the wrong time on non-ET charts.
  • PDH/PDL now regular-session only — extended hours can no longer contaminate them.
  • Removed the old 5-minute Opening Range — ORB15 covers it, one opening range now instead of two.
Action needed at the time: delete the old indicator and re-add v5 fresh rather than editing in place — TradingView can cache the old version otherwise.

Deeper Scoring, VWAP + ORB15 Added
New Improved
  • Scoring scale expanded from 0–16 to 0–20. Two new factors: Speed of Move (rewards a fast, ATR-scaled push into a level) and Regime (rewards prime trading hours, penalizes lunch chop and the late-day 0DTE window).
  • Volume confirmation moved from flat to two-tier. MTF confluence now worth double its previous weight.
  • A+ bar raised to 15+ points (was 12+) — and climbs as high as 17 when ADX shows a genuinely strong trend, so the tool automatically backs off mean-reversion calls when the tape isn't actually chopping.
  • RSI thresholds tightened again to 73/26 (from 70/30).
  • Level Touch Zone tightened to $0.05 — signals need a closer touch to a level before they're eligible to fire.
  • Two new tracked levels: VWAP (plots live, valid trigger) and ORB15 (15-min opening range, flips into support/resistance once price breaks it).
  • A-Tier Trend Guard improved — now checks actual price displacement vs. ATR instead of requiring an RSI cross, so it blocks A-tier on the wrong side of a real trend leg and reacts faster than the previous version.

Signal Guide Correction
Corrected
Rebuilt the guide to match what the script actually does — the published docs had drifted from the live behavior. Corrections:
  • Scoring is 0–16, not 0–11 — 4 new factors added (Volume, Proximity, MTF Bonus, Soft-Tap Bonus).
  • RSI thresholds are 70/30, not 74/26.
  • A+ needs 12+ points (was 9+). What's now A-tier needs 9–11 points (was 6–8, previously labeled "B-tier").
  • Sizing guidance updated to 14+/13+/12+ (was 13+/11+/9+).
  • PDH/PDL/PMH/PML are now valid trigger levels, shown as purple dashed lines.
  • Added A-Tier Trend Guard — stops A-tier from repeatedly firing along one continuous trend leg.
  • Fixed gap detection — now checks the actual session-open gap once per day instead of continuously comparing to yesterday's close.

Original Two-Script System
Foundation
Script 1 — Signal (main chart)
  • Level detection: auto-finds the nearest whole-dollar level each session and tracks first touch; also pulls in PDH, PDL, PMH, PML, and Opening Range high/low. Major ×10 levels get extra scoring weight.
  • RSI read: RSI-14 on the 1-minute, tracking both the extreme and the swing size from its recent peak/trough.
  • Scoring: a points-based model combining level quality, RSI extreme, swing size, RSI divergence, VWAP direction, 5-min RSI, volume spike, tap count, prime window, and rejection candle.
  • Qualifying signals fire an on-chart label plus a phone alert.
  • Filters gate every signal: session window, gap limit, RSI trend direction, range position, first-touch-only, and a cooldown between same-direction signals.
Script 2 — RSI Panel (below chart)
  • Live RSI coloring — neutral, approaching extreme, at threshold, and deepening further on repeat taps.
  • Tap count labels (1st/2nd/3rd) — third taps carry the most conviction since the level's been tested repeatedly.
  • Swing size shown alongside each tap.
  • Background shading for session window and overbought/oversold state.
Most sessions you'll see WAITING on the main chart. That's the filters doing their job, not the system being broken.
